Martha Stewart, the Queen of everything domestic, released tips to make the most out of your spring cleaning this year. Some of her tips include:
- Polish dingy light bulbs with a dampened microfiber cloth (remember to avoid the metal screw base!)
- Change the direction of your ceiling fans-a counterclockwise breeze is optimal for warmer months, but for colder seasons, switching your ceiling fan direction to clockwise can actually help heat your home more efficiently! It redistributes the warm air hovering around the fan, making the room feel warmer. Most ceiling fans have a switch on the base that switches the direction the fan blows in.
