Many Frederick builders are finding it less costly and easier to build outside of the county. A subcontractor, above, for Admar Homes works at job site in Middletown. Although the economy has taken its toll on home construction overall, many Frederick builders are finding it less costly and easier to build outside of the county.
"In Frederick County, it is almost impossible to build for the first-time buyer," said Dan Ryan, president of Dan Ryan Homes, which has been in Frederick for 20 years.
